| Utilizing PowerPoint like a Pro | ||
| Refocusing attention | Starting and Stopping a Slideshow | Leave Slideshow Mode |
Blacking out a MS PowerPoint slide while you are presenting to focus attention on you (because you are wearing your best suit and everyone should see) instead of allowing your listeners to "go into the light" and just gaze at the slides - press 'b' or '.' while you are in slideshow view |
Stop or restart a slideshow that has auto-advance timings applied because someone has a pressing question that just can't wait until the end of your highly choreographed dog and pony show (remember the presentation is about getting information to the people who are watching - not just making you look cute and brilliant) - 's' or '+' (usually more useful on a machine with a key pad and a dedicated + key). Press the same button again to restart the auto-advance timings. |
To abruptly leave slideshow mode or exit a presentation that is in show mode - ctrl-break or esc |
